• Derek Oldbury of Devon, England and Don Lafferty of Elizabethtown, KY enter their 9th Round with 26 and 24 match points respectively, they had drawn each other in their 3rd and 8th rounds.  Don defeated Derek in their final round, winning the 1981 National GAYP Tournament. (example of scoring by round, winner takes all - 3 draws & a win)
• Jackson forfeited round 4, and so did Waddell.  Waddell forfeited round 5 and withdrew. F stands for forfeit and wd for withdraw.
• Clint Pickard was the tournament organizer/promoter and Howard L Owen of St. Petersburg, FL was the official referee. Tim Laverty was the Scorekeeper.
• Cross-table was copied from the original 2x4 tourney poster-board but listed in finish position instead of alphabetical.
• Total Prize Fund on old chart was not available, however Masters paid: 1st $500, 2nd $300, 3rd $150, etc. and Class B awarding a trophy to 1st place finish winner and one dollar per match point to all players.
